Day 5: Tangkuban Perahu

Tangkuban Perahu a well known crater in Bandung is the main attraction here!! As usual it was packed with tourist taking pictures every corner. The weather there was a little chilling so it was not that tired to climb up to the peak for a better angle shot!!

After a tired walk we rush to our long awaited lunch in Kampung Daun. The set up there was stunning. It definitely worth going for it though it is faraway!!

This is the well known nasi ayam penyet, not my favorite because of the sambal!!I’m not a fan of chilies!!

The grill fish is so tender and juicy. Chew it on with the white fragrant rice is so appetizing.

This so called calzone, a type of pizza with filling inside. It was just ok for me!

Fried Kangkung, nothing special about it!

Overall, this place worth visit for it environment NOT the food as its rather expensive and portion is really small.

Next is still SHOPPING at Jalan Riau, we went to THE SECRET which was the best among others..It was raining in the evening we have to run from one shop to another. There after, we thought of having a nice massage at MERIANTI, price is cheap but I couldn’t remember the price. I was given a few type of aromatherapy oil to choose from i opt for Lavender as this will never go wrong. They do serve ginger tea after the massage.

Dinner was taken at a Chinese stall in front of our hotel, we order Cantonese fried mee, Loh Mee and fried rice. It wasn’t that good though..

Day 6: Brownies

The one thing that is must buy from Bandung is Brownies. Well to me it’s just like another piece of chocolate cake. At Kartika Sari, there are lots of different Brownies types available. Just choose the one you like and pay at the counter.

Almond Brownies is my favorite!!!

With the brownies, our trip end in Bandung and we head back to Kuala Lumpur after that!

Finally I managed to upload this post after so long in my waiting list…

I remember clearly on that day we reach airport at 5.45pm and hungriness surround my thoughts and wait no more head to Taste if Asia. Urghhh yucks the chicken rice was bad. We end up walking across to McDonald which finally satisfied our hungry stomach.

Day 1: Candle Light Supper

Agus our tour guide suggested to try out food at this Paskal Food Market. The food was good and is very westernized. Entire area is covered with LED lights and in the centre I can see a wishing statue with fountain.

I must say the parmesan cheese garnished on top of the chicken chop is really delicious.

The night ends here, check in to Mutiara Hotel. I’ll give credit to the exterior environment that makes me feel totally in holiday mood. The plant surrounding is so refreshing and cooling. However, the interior (The room) is totally the opposite side where you can see small room, stinky wardrobe, dirty bathroom and old bed!! I don’t have time to bother, I need sleep…

Walking out of the room in the morning is great. Luckily we have our breakfast just right beside the swimming pool. Though the malay breakfast style is not my type, by sipping my coffee with a bite of toast next to the pool is great!

Day 2: Factory Outlet Shopping Spree

we spend a whole day glancing through tops and bottoms, trying pieces of cloths and flipping through price tag. For me, my favorite of all the factory outlet is Rumah Mode. Despite the beautiful design on the building, the fashion pieces in the stores is definitely great and edgy!!

Well picture is not allowed inside the outlet and I was busy shopping i kept my camera aside.

We head to one of the biggest shopping mall in Bandung, Paris Van De Jawa for lunch. We are too early, most of the restaurant is still preparing hence KFC is the only option!!1 Seriously the KFC is nothing compare to the one in KL…Weird is that they pair it with white rice and the sad part is there is not mash potatoes nor coleslaw!!

2 in 1 Crunchy Skin Meat Hunt

A few months back while I am really busy at work, I get sneak out some of my precious time to try out these crunchy skin duck and crunchy ‘caramel like’ BBQ pork a.k.a cha siew.

Chewing this crunchy yet sticky caramel like cha siew while the fatty meats slowly melt in my mouth before I swallow down was so delightful on that bright morning. For a fact the taste of the dried “sang mee” as well as the bowl of wanton (skin wrapped with minced pork) was very common. The main highlights was the cha siew; some may call it glass cha siew “Bo Li Cha Siew” It can also be eaten together with the normal chicken rice.

On another day when the sky turn dull, I sneak out to try this delicious Roast Duck. The tenderness of the flesh and thin crunchy skin is blew me away!

These fried Hokkien Mee and Cantonese Fried Mee was something just to fulfill our hungry stomach as the duck will definitely be to little for our spacious tummy! Hokkien Mee is good but the other ones wasn’t that good.

Tehehe my rabbit was so obvious in this pictar…I found it adorable…OMG..

Munakata, Authentic Japanese Ala Carte Buffet

Though it’s Christmas eve, I did not chose to dine in a western restaurant not even bother to order a turkey instead I went to Munakata! I had been eyeing on Munakata for more than a year! Finally I able to try it for the one last time before it is closed for renovation.

Surprisingly there were no jam at all, thus we able to reach there by 7.30pm. The building was quite old and was not well maintained…The lift especially makes me feel uneasy! When we walk in the restaurant the manager greeted us and seat us down at a corner table!

There is 2 station where one serves sashimi and sushi and another one serves all kinds of tepanyaki meat! We start off with some green tea, sashimi and chawan mushi. Green tea was pleasant while Salmon doesn’t look fresh but taste like fresh marines!!

Chawan mushi was simple yet delicate!

Here come the Tepanyaki Goodies!!!

Beef was tender and juicy, perfectly good when match with fried cabbage…

Chicken meat ball were too normal to comment!

Chicken meat stick was grilled to perfection!

Grilled eggplant is extremely tasty!! The mince meat is too good!!

Flaky Salmon, Saba & Cod fish just got me ordering more & more.

The legendary Grilled Unagi was the star of the night! We ordered more than 20 plates! It was served hot and the meat is flavorful and delicious!

The orange salmon nigri sushi is hard to resist!

Scallop!!!! As big as 50cent!! Do need to elaborate more? Unbelievable chewing experience!!

Well this noodle tame my stomach after all the yummy food! The clear broth was good!

Time for mouth watering dessert, the macha ice cream. I must say this is the best I ever had!!

Stomach bloated and we spend a total of RM70 each!

Cameron Getaway

This is the third trip up to Cameron in 2010, still haven’t get bored of it yet! Unfortunately, year end trip isn’t a good idea as it’s school holiday and it’s raining season! Traffic jam along the Tanah Rata that we rather walk with our foot then driving. Lucky we stay in Parkland apartment that located approximately 1km away from the Tanah Rata town.

We bring a lot of food for steamboat at our apartment. The apartment is quite a decent one but try to request for level 2 as it does not have lift and bringing all your stuff up to level 3 or 4 will be a nightmare!

Since I have post quite some review in Cameron already so this post it’s all about photos.

Part 2: Midvalley, Huggie Teddy World

Today trip was well planned just a week beforehand. Me and Thomas woke up rather early for Neway K-Lunch Karaoke.

Such a relief after singing and screaming at the top notch BUT sore throat after that!Nah that doesn’t stop us from capturing Christmas moment at Mid Valley.

Huggie Teddy was the Christmas theme for Midvalley this year. From the very huge to the very tiny little teddy bear. The first spot was at the north court selling all kinds of souvenirs and toys. Shot captured with Huge Teddy lying on the big yacht.

Heading to the center court; crowds surround every teddy bear as well as all the huge standing toys.

Along the path, the Gelato Fruity Ice Cream booths grab my attention! Order 2 scoop of ice cream that consist of mango and chocolate flavor and snapping around with the giant teddy bear..

I look so tiny over here…

North and centre finish and now the south court!! The snow, rain deer and icy white xmas trees!

I loves the idea that Midvalley team had contributed for this year xmas celebrations.. It is really a memorable shopping moments for me...

2010: The most Thrilling Christmas Celebration Part 1

Thrilling in a sense where I try to shot every famous shopping malls in Klang Valley. Not to mention also I went to countdown at Pavilion itself and I was in a week holiday where I cook varieties of delicious foodies. I countdown, have amazing christmas eve dinner, dancing through the christmas eve, gathering and present exchange on christmas and photo shooting at various christmas related event and decorations. Please be patient as I have tonnes of photos and stories to upload.

Part 1: Sunway Pyramid, The Fantaland

It’s rather a boring evening actually…I reach there around 4pm after picking up my appointment letter! At the parking able to see this Dome with a stunning cloudy background…Wait no more, shooting begins…

The cloud starts to turn darker, luckily I manage to take some outdoor Christmas decorations before it starts to rain!

Well, I had 2 hours of window shopping to a point where my stomach calls for food..I decided to head down to Sakae sushi to eat something while waiting for darling to arrive…I was too bored waiting for him in Sakae and I start shooting again…

One of the marvelous shot I did!

Finally darling reach and we order sukiyaki…yumehhh, the warmth from the soup just felt so good on the rainy day.

After a fulfilling dinner, a lil exercise is needed and snapping pictures is the perfect exercise in this case…

My personal opinion on this warmth Fantaland , the orange and red doesn’t really match these rainy season. Furthermore, the decorations only concentrate on the main stage as well as on the ceiling of the skating area. The glass snow globes was the only thing I will really admire it…

The Birdie Birdie World

Once I again I bring my baby canon 550D to capture some vibrant birdie at the KL bird park. We reach quite early meanwhile the other reach 30minutes later… There were total of 5 of us…One of the guy Alex was those professional photographer who carries a numbers of lenses!

Well the most unpredictable was I met one of my supplier from ex-company…

We walk every corner and snap as much bird as possible……

The vibrant colors of the peacock is just unbelievable…

Day 3: The Extraordinary Penang trip

The final day in Penang, we were very disappointed as the weather is really bad! It’s raining every single day and we did not manage to flaunt our bikini wear on sunny beach side!! BUttttt wait, we’ve got an amazing idea! We’re heading to Hard Rock Hotel!!

day 3: hard rock hotel, penang

Drive all the way up to Batu Ferringhi Beach, watching the huge wave splashing, slippery road and strong wind blowin; finally reach Hard Rock Hotel!

We walk in to the swimming pool area, just beside the beach. Even you are not staying there but you are allowed to walk around the swimming pool (not too sure whether you can enter the pool, I believe it is allowed). Well we can’t play in the pool as it’s still raining heavily, thus we only can camwhore with our bikini!

Posing and snapping picture can actually burnt off our energy…Time for delicious food, after all that’s the main attraction in Penang!

day 3: Prontip thai restaurant

First time came across this restaurant, recommended by Teng. The selection is very limited and thus in a short time we had selected basil chicken, seafood tom yam soup and prawn cake.

Fried kang Kung, chewy with a lil of spiciness! AWESOME!!

Prawn Cake, crispy bread crumb coated over succulent sweet prawn meat paste! Tanginess to the max!

Basil Chicken, the toss of basil aroma, the sautéed onion that sip into the chicken just taste so good with a spoonful of Thai white fragrance rice.

Seafood Tom yam Soup, piping hot spicy tom yam soup with all sorts of seafood tossed inside, irresistible!

Overall they serve authentic Thai Food that taste absolutely marvelous. I will definitely come to this restaurant again if I come to Penang again.

Day 2: The Extraordinary Penang Trip

Reaching day 2 was extremely tiring as I waited arrival of Darling till approximately 3am. No matter how tired and sleepy we are, the luscious big Dim Sum definitely open ups our eyes.

day 2: Zim Sum Dim sum food court

This big food court actually accommodate quite a number of food stall but all of them were closed except the dim sum stall. It occupy the whole back row of the food court serving all kinds of dim sum, pau, fried snack, desert and surprisingly wanton mee, roast chicken and barbeque pork. The parking lots is very limited but luckily we stay in PP Island Hotel which is just opposite of the dim sum food court!

It’s so different from what I used to see in Dim Sum restaurant in KL whereby you yourself have to pick up your desire dim sum and put it onto a tray (simple saying: self service).

People is grabbing their dim sum once it’s out from the steamer….Grab it before its too late..

Wokay now, look at this:

This only a part of the dim sum I able to grab as I can’t resist just snapping photos of delicious dim sum but instead I put my camera aside and start eating right away! For me the dim sum taste slightly above average as i prefer more prawns in the filling but it seems mostly are pork filling! Moreover the fried snack were not crispy possibly of being exposed to air for quite some time.The price is fairly good and service is normal (need to call few times for bill). Overall I would say for the price and the portion, you should give it a try if you were travelling in Penang. However I still prefer ES Hong Kong Dim Sum nearby my house, delicious and no hassle getting there!

After this our next stop will be the only one snake temple in the world!

day 2: Snake Temple or Temple of the Azure Cloud

The Snake Temple was originally named the "Temple of the Azure Cloud" in honor of the beauty of Penang's sky. Located at Sungai Kluang just nearby Bayan Lepas Airport.Based on the well famous stories behind this temple was build in memory of Chor Soo Kong, a Chinese monk. Chor Soo Kong also known as the Healer gave shelter to the snakes of jungle, after the completion of the temple, snakes appeared on their own accord. Tourist from various country come all the way to pray in the temple on Chor Soo Kong's birthday thrice yearly, on the 6th days of the first, sixth and eleventh months of the lunar calendar respectively.

I didn’t actually went to see the snake, well the snake just failed to captured my attention! We went to the back garden and snap a lot of pictures with varieties of flowers….

Day 2 was all about temple, next destination will be Kek Lok Si.

This temple located at Air Itam and usually packed with tourist during weekends. Kek Lok Si is the largest Buddhist Temple in Southeast Asia. Parked our car at the bottom and rushed to eat at the asam laksa stall nearby. After that we walk up the hill all the way up to Kek Lok Si. It took approximately 20 minutes to reach the top by walking up the staircase. Alongside the staircase were all sorts of souvenir stall selling local souvenir such as T-Shirt, key chain, toys, photo frame and etc.

Reach the top finally and start camwhoring…. Superb place for photo shooting!!

We took the inline lift which cost RM 4 (return) to get to the top where the Kuan Yin statue is located. We didn’t get to stay long up there as it starts to rain..Meanwhile, the Kuan Yin look so gracefully, a must visit I would say!

Day 1: The Extraordinary Penang Trip

I parted with darling around 5 a.m in the morning. He shall meet me in Penang at 2 a.m later. I drive all the way to Teng’s house in SS2 and started our journey to Penang around 7 a.m. There are few ways to get to Penang actually; the most convenience way is by driving so that you can access to delicious food easily. Back to my story, it took us about 5 hours to reach Penang including 40 minutes stopover for breakfast. By the time we reach is still too early to check in to Island Hotel. Therefore, we stop at Clinic Cafe at Gurney Plaza for lunch.

day 1: Clinic Cafe

It is very impressing while walking through the cafe looking at the red clinic theme furniture, decoration and eating utensils. Eventually, the ladies waiter was wearing nursing uniforms which is very seductive especially through the eyes of man (didn’t manage to snap even one nurse…FAILED) .

Unfortunately, their menu was rather flat…Most of the food were repetitive, for eg fried rice where the fried rice base was all the same the only different was the side portion like prawns, fried chickens strips or even seafood. It taste rather common, I’d say you can simply get this taste in any hawker stalls. While my other friends chose to try the western dish; the looks could be deceiving but according to her it is just another lame dish…

The beverages is nothing special but there is this peach blended drink was really good…

After treating our stomach we went to PP Island hotel to check in and on the way HF went to buy some really awesome Rojak.

day 1: PP Island & Rojak

The lobby was decent and the receptionist was very helpful. The only fall back of the hotel is the very limited parking space. Its either you come back early or you have to park at the road side at your own risk as the car park space is based on first come first serve basis. Behind the lobby was a dining area, not really sure whether it serves food but WIFI is easily available at lobby and dining area.

Let’s head to the room, very well organized room and the furniture is very soothing to look at. The lighting is good and there is LCD too though it is not that large but still acceptable to me. I love the bed sheet, very soft and comfortable to lie on! There is sufficient cabinet, table and wardrobe for you to put your stuff and that is really convenient to me!However, the toilet is relatively small and there is no bath tub, only the normal shower. For this kind of facilities at RM 80 per night I’d say it’s so WORTH it!!

After settling down in the room, it’s time to indulge in the famous Penang Rojak accompanied by HBO!

I must give thumb up to this box of Rojak, though i leave it aside for 30 minutes it still taste good. The shrimp paste taste were so strong and the sauce was so thick and sticky! The fruits remain freshy and tangy!

It is located at the Swatow Lane, Penang. Just drive from Lorong Selamat till you reach T-junction, then turn left, and take the first turning on your right. “You have reach your destination”

day 1: DIY scented room with Candle & Fragrance Oil warmer

Well for truly enjoying and stress free holiday, get yourself some candles, oil warmers and your choice of fragrance oil. Here are the simple steps to turn your room into a soothing and relaxing room.

1. Prepare the following items:

2. Arrange the candle at desire location in your room. For example, at the corner table besides the bed.

3. Fill up the oil warmers with plain water and put 2-3 drops of fragrance oil. Then light up the candle and insert into bottom of the oil warmer.

4. Light up others candles that you have arrange earlier and wollaaa sit back and enjoy the scented room…..Here’s the truly Cindy’s version of Scented Room!

day 1: botanical garden

After enough resting, around 5pm we decided to drop by botanical garden for a brisk walk before dinner. This is actually a good place to visit since the entrance is free and it opens till 8pm whereby other attraction is close by 6pm.

When we first reach, we were attracted by the little ice-cream booth at the road side! I love his expression, grimy yet cute! Why are you snapping me when I'm licking my ice-cream?

Sweet posing with my beloved loupohs… Felt like I'm a kid again holding the ice-cream cones.

Breezy and refreshing wind coupled with all the greenish trees empty my thoughts. Keep walking and there were bunch of these nasty monkeys… The whole family were there, from the grandparents to their children!

I manage to capture this meaningful shots of two loving monkeys!

The garden is relatively big and there is an empty field where we did numerous jumping shot!

This expression is legendary!

There is also a lots of colorful flower, however it start to rain so i didn’t get to snap these beautiful flowers.I highly recommend this garden for a brisk walking with eu de natural environment. It is located at Jalan Kebun, Penang. For more info click here.

day 1: northern beach cafe

Next we head up to Northern Beach Cafe at Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah for dinner. There is variety of food to choose from in this cafe or sound more accurate to me was food court. Non of the look of this place look like a cafe to me. This large food court located along the beach side as portrayed on its name. I really enjoyed the breezy wind unlike the usually stuffy and packed food court in KL.

I would say overall the food serve there were above average. Unfortunately after whole day of walking, I only want to sit down and enjoy my meal and thus no pictures to show to you guys..However you can click here for pictures and reviews from other people.

Malacca Food Marathon

This trip almost being cancelled, luckily have me who drove all the way to Malacca holding the hopes to complete the long awaits Malacca Food Marathon.

Well the plan was prepared a week ago and here goes the agenda…

9.00 am   - Heading to Melaka from KL
11.00am - Walk walk around Jonker Street
12.30pm   - Go eat Chicken Rice
2.00pm     - Walk Walk around Stadthuys
3.30pm    - Cendol & Laksa
4.30pm    - Capital Satay Celup (As need to queue up) / Tengkera / Jln Ong Kim Wee
6.00pm    - Walk Walk around Jonker Street Night Market see see look look buy snacks
8.30pm    - Tandori Chicken
9.30pm    - Head back to KL

We begun our journey around 10 a.m. On the way, it was a struggle to suppress the hunger as it had grown enormous and nevertheless will persevere as I wanted to chomp down more food into my tummy.

1# Chung Wah Chicken Rice

Before even begin the food marathon, I kick off the snapping session first. All this blame to the ever natural Bali’s decoration shop, Puri Padi. I was astonished by its surrounding fountain and green plant and grasses. I just can’t walk away without bringing out my Canon 550D and start clicking.

Enough of clicking let’s move to the next spot..

2# Chung Wah Chicken Rice

For the first time I get to try the famous Chicken Rice Ball after been to Malacca for more than 10 times. I was shocked looking at the queue and also the gate being closed to stop people from entering freely…

I must say the rice ball was exquisite! Unfortunately the chicken meat was a failure since it’s texture felt like shredded pieces due to the incorrect way of cutting the chicken.

3# A Famosa Trail

Stomach had a full treatment and its time to burn off the fatty food! We walk from Jonker Street to the famous heritage walk, A’ Famosa. We climb up the hill overseeing the entire Malacca town and down the hill to the Gate of St James.

4# The Stadthuys or Red Building

How could we miss the striking red building! I start pointing my lens here and there, right and left, top and bottom….

5# Jonker 88

Time to get back on the food track and here we go to Jonker 88, the famous lace for authentic local nyonya delicacies! The queue under the sun is something I hate but for the good food it’s totally worth it! I been here uncountable times and my favorite pick was Cendol and Baba Nyonya Laksa.

The Cendol has this very fine ice flakes top with aromatic Malacca Brown Sugar and not to mention the cendol and the fat red beans just feel so fulfilling!

After cooling down the hot and sweaty body, its time to get hot again with a bowl of Seafood Baba Nyonya Laksa. The soup is exquisite with the big prawn, big round fish balls, and thick filled fu chuk; feeding a scoop of the noodle into my mouth is definitely marvelous.

6# Malacca River

7# Capitol Satay Celop

This is record breaking! Why I said so? For the first time, we were the first ones standing before the blue gate waiting for it to open!

All the car passed by the restaurant looking at us one kind! Well for the record, we waited for almost 40 minutes before the blue gate is open!

The screen is still closed and the waiter is arranging the chair and table.

Now look at the boiling satay gravy with huge amount of smoke… Just can’t wait to dip all the stick into it and bite on it!

Apparently this squeaky pork meat ball is my favorite. The moment I bite on it, the juice beneath it will splurge out and chewing the meat just make it taste too delicious to be true! The satay gravy is so thick and contains lots of peanuts; when the stick of food were dipped in the gravy, a thick layer of peanuts covering it, is simply crunchy yet spicy that equals to excitement!

The crave is fulfilled and walking out the restaurant just felt so good. However pity those people who is still queuing while we had just finish eating!

8# Jonker Street Night Walk

Well nothing to shout actually, another night market but difference is you will be pushed here and there, trying to squeeze through the path!

9# Pak Putra Tandoori Chicken

A must visit place for it re-owned recipe for the ever juiciest Tandoori Chicken. The accompanying aromatic Garlic Cheese Naan is another perfect match!

10# Proton Wira Ride back to KL

Finally we complete the food marathon and heading back to KL. Seriously the trip back is killing me..I was so sleepy but I only can drive at 90 km/hr and it’s raining…Well I shall say this is the first ever record for my stomach to fill this varieties of food!! Wooaahhh Amazing!!!

Pan Heong at Batu Caves….

We’re on the way to Cameron Highland and heard so much of this restaurant so we drop by for our lunch there……

When we came a lot of people were waiting for the table and so we get a seat after 10 minutes. Amazingly they cooked really fast since we only waited less than 10 minutes for the food to arrived.

The first one to come was the Sang Har Mee, RM 32.00. The big red prawn was fresh and so tangy that the sweetness of the prawn was remained. The thick and fat white noodles (hor fun) is so smooth with the creamy egg texture over it. Slurrppp….just swallow it not chew is required….

The portion is quite small so we ordered another version of Sang Har Mee without the fresh prawn. The creamy sauce was lack of the prawn sweetness in it…The prawn redness was gone in the gravy sauce…Can see obviously in the photo….

The Mee Goreng Mamak RM 9.50, was something special the chinese way of cooking…Very flattering and not spicy at all..Well taste for a non spicy lover like me…The egg blend so well along with the yellow noodle. Give a try and you will love the twist of this yellow noodle.

Final dish was the frog porridge RM 21.00, the frog is not so smooth but however the porridge was really smooth. I felt the porridge is rather ordinary not too tasty or too bad…

Try to avoid to come during Sunday because the queue will be damn long…

Cameron The Green Land of Tea

A little more than 130 miles north of Kuala Lumpur is the Cameron Highlands, an extensive hill station once favored by British colonials during the hot season. Cameron is a place where chilling weather get together with the large field of beautiful greens tea plantation. Its just so relaxing to just walk by and take a deep breath of the refreshing tea across the small little tea house. Besides there are mass variety of freshly picked fruits and vegetables sold in the market along the way from Brinchang to Tanah Rata. There are numbers of forest trail for trekking as well..

Getting Here

The only way I use to go to Cameron is by self drive! For me that’s the most convenience way. However, Cameron can be reached by coaches too. Please click this for schedule and coaches available.

Casa De La Rosa Hotel

On my recent trip to Cameron, I stayed in Casa De La Rosa Hotel located in Tanah Rata. I was lucky enough that I have a voucher form Maxis where its only RM 299.00 per night with compliment breakfast and steamboat dinner.

The room was quite big to me and I love the bath tub. The moment I dive in the hot bath tub, all the stressed just fly away.

It was so enjoying so sleep besides a garden! The surrounding of the hotel was so English style. The lighting, the red carpet and the furniture was so pleasant to look at.

After checking in at around 3 pm we went around the garden besides the hotel and I snap like crazy…

After that we went for our steamboat dinner inside the hotel restaurant. I tell ya, this is the far most tastiest steam i ever had in my life!

First was the freshly picked striking greenish vegetable, mmmph naturally sweet and tender. The seafood (prawns & crab) was so fresh just like catch lively from sea. The Tomyam soup base was magnificent with the right level of spiciness and sourish!

The next morning, I woke up at 7 am to have the breakfast. It comes in 4 choices, 2 local delicacies and 2 western breakfast.

My brother opt for Nasi Lemak, just ordinary taste nothing special.

I personally ordered the English Breakfast which is more worth to chose. It comes with cornflakes, scrambled egg, German sausage and hash brown. Everything just clings together too well for that perfect morning with a cup of hot coffee. It also comes with a small glass of fruit puree…Such a healthy start for a early morning.

Nom Nom Nom..finish all the food, I head back to my room for an early morning D.I.Y spa…So rejuvenating..

Attractions

Everytime I visit cameron surely be with my family and they don’t fancy too much activity! Thus we only went to the usual must visit spot in cameron!

Lata Iskandar Water Fall

On the way up the hill, there were this waterfall named Lata Iskandar on the road side. It is so huge that you will not miss if you come from Tapah. We just park our car further ahead besides those local stalls selling fruits and local souvenirs.

I went around and snap like crazy on the flowers and plant surrounding it! Then I took off my sandals and start walking toward the waterfalls and sat a stone waiting to be snapped! Say Cheesee……….

Tea Plantations

The huge maze of tea plantation is a MUST visit when you are at Cameron. Stopping by at the tea shop and get seated with a cup of tea while over viewing the hills of green tea leaves. Sipping the tea, close my eyes and take a deep breath; ahhhh….. so relaxing.

After enough resting and stretching, we walk down the hills and enjoy the trails. At the bottom of the hills there were this mini size waterfall and hut alongside. Sitting under the hut watching the water flowing and the movement of the green leaves with breezy wind blowing was so calming.

Strawberry Pasar Malam the Night Market

Right at the centre of the road between those shop lots and the main road were these strawberries pattern stuff hanging for sale. Doesn’t matter it is real or fake ones, it is everywhere along the stalls. Besides strawberry, also vegetables and fruits (some local specialties) were all over for sale.

I came across this home made gelato ice cream, RM 3.00 per scoop! It is so luscious and full. It just can’t stop melting it in my mouth, I order another scoop!

We walk on and see different types of vegetables and some really cute fruits, only available here in Cameron. Further on, we saw people running towards this lorry selling durians; spontaneously we head to the crowd and surprised by the appearance of all the durians. The golden yellow of this D24 durian is delicious! The bitterness aroma just filled my mouth and the fullness was so satisfying. Amazingly this durians are free from pesticides or what so ever chemicals so you don’t feel warm and no sore throats after eating. Even pee also no smell! Ooops too much revealing…

Levain Boulangerie & Pastisserie The Return

This was my second time landing my feet here with Siew Ping, mum and god mum for a weekend tea break!

Instead of opting for interior sofa seating, we decided to sat outside so we could feel the green leaves breath and bright blue skies.

My both lovely mums…

Both look a bit pale after a long night of drinking & dancing!

Definitely a wiser choice as it is more cooling and refreshing compared to the interior where the surrounding was too warm. Also well decorated with pottery and paintings on the walls, it’s so eye calming!

A very delightful setup!

Interior was too warm and sounds come from all kind of sources such as kitchen crew, brewing machine and people talking to each other!

The star of the day was this Seafood Pasta, RM 9.90.

Rich and creamy sauce toss with seafood over the pasta definitely keep you craving for more. I even lick all the creamy sauce left on the plate!

Together with the main dish was variety of breads. Unfortunately, these bread totally out the heap of the day! They have the hard texture just like it been over exposed to the environment for a long period. If they could reheat these lovely bread, I might considering picking it on the next visit!

Another version of Cheese French with added wild mushroom, rocky bread but delicious cream wild mushroom!

Crispy Walnut Bread, RM 3.80

Unbelievable amount of walnuts, too bad it is not crispy but dry hard! Ewww….

Creamy caramel Croissant, RM 3.80

Nuts all over it, again too dry and hard! Warning. do not eat this without presence of water or soup!!

How we’d finished these rocky bread? Simply by dipping into the milky Pumpkin Soup, RM 6.50. Not much pumpkin flavor though only strong milk on the big mug!

Noisette Slice, RM 7.50

Good looking but taste was gross! Secret Recipes totally beat them with better texture and value for money!

The drinks is the worst here. The wild berries teas is too mild or i should say TASTELESS; ribena taste better than this! I advice not to order drinks besides coffee or hot chocolate!

I am not impressed by their bread this round but I crave for their pasta and coffee! My next visit will only be pasta and coffee alone.For more review please view here

Yawn…So sleepy but still trying to upload this post since it’s picture stored in my desktop for some time! Almost every time I pass by this restaurant I wouldn’t bother to look at it, it’s like invisible to me! Never heard about how good this cafe could be…Knowing they serve sandwiches and perhaps coffee and tea, that’s all.

Last few weeks, they are running this promotion with sandwiches sets that really stop me from walking further.

Puzzled a while, staring at the price, wow this is so worth it! So mum and me decided to order a set and seated down since we’ve been walking while in One Utama.

Dave’s Deli have a few outlets located in few shopping malls. I browsed their website while I am typing this blog, only I realized their specialties are roast chicken. OMG what a surprise because I only thought of sandwiches! They are food eater too and thus they can cook a good meal as shown in their website!

Self ordering and then the waiter place a plate of sandwiches and a empty cup. I have to poured the tea from the existing tea pot available at the counter! Staff was little, only two , one is helping in the kitchen while another taking care of the cash machine! Not really friendly and faces are one of a kind!

Super tiny sandwich with extremely thin layer of tuna, chicken breast and mashed egg fillings but deliciously tasty. For the price of RM 3.90, its forgivable for the thin layering! Surprisingly the fillings tasted good and its something different from normal sandwiches I get from the bakery shop. Particularly is because they add some bell pepper in between the meats and the flavorsome seasoning and the milky butter.

Tea as usual, almost forgettable nothing specials!

They serve a wide range of western food from roast chicken to pasta! I haven’t try it out but saw it other people’s table look attracting!!

Environment is very classy English style, very decent decorations!

They provide WIFI service too and amazingly fast! I will come again the next time for other dishes!

This is really my first post of travel blog, all this while I only blog about food since it is less complicated. So don’t laugh as you reads through!

For Malaysian, Malacca is well known for its historical land as well as huge variety of authentic local cuisine that will tickles your taste buds!

Getting There

Getting there is as simple as ABC for people who live in Peninsular Malaysia. Just get your car serviced and pack your stuff (if only you are planning to overnight) then start your engine and head to the highways.

Me & SP just drove our car all the way from my house to Seremban Highway and reach Malacca about an hour half! Yeah I speed a little since we depart a little late in morning!

Damn there are more than 10 traffic lights in Malacca, waiting time for all the lights will be more than 30 minutes!!

Places to Go Around

It really depends on what kind of adventure you are up to say food, historical building, cultural sites or even some walk around local markets.

I will began by exploring huge numbers of local delicacies available in Malacca since my main purpose there was for FOOD!

This time my trip to Malacca was a bit extraordinary in the sense that we tried out other restaurant delicacies rather than the usual Capitol and Jonker 88! Therefore the review for most famous delicacies stall in Malacca will be post later on my next trip there (Since previous trip I haven’t develop interest in photography yet!). Stay Tune for more!

1st on my mind will definitely be the Satay Celop. To those who haven’t get your hand on these stick of different types of meats, vegetables or seafoods, Satay Celop means immersing a stick with series of raw or semi-raw food into a pot of boiling thick spicy peanut broth or so called the satay sauce. Try to imagine lok-lok where the clear boiling water is replaced with thick satay sauce.

Basically there are a few numbers of Satay Celop available across Malacca streets but I personally went to Capitol Satay Celop & Satay Celop Nyonya.

Satay Celop Nyonya

Located on the streets of Melaka Raya, they serve authentic nyonya food besides the famous satay celop. Frankly speaking for gals like me, all the way from Kuala Lumpur finding ways to this restaurant was really hectic! However, the staff was really generous that he drive his car to meet us near Equatorial Hotel to bring us to this restaurant. I felt like dining in a 5-star restaurant, thumbs up for their hospitality!

When we reach there the restaurant was empty (not a good sign) but it is in the afternoon, so not much people would like to eat such a hot stuff under a flaming hot sun! It turns out really good as I do not need to queue for so long or even rushing to grab the sticks, there is no one that will even disturb or staring at you while you are eating! So much relaxed compared to Capitol and first time ever I don’t sweat at all.

Really huge fridge to store the sticks! All the time my eyes will stare at it thinking which stick to choose!

Furthermore, the design of the table was phenomenon. The pictures speaks it all (traditional sewing machine)!

We were served with small sample glasses of vegetable juice as a welcoming drinks before we starts ordering our drinks.

We eat at a really comfort zones, no sweat, no rush, no interruptions and good staff response! I ate uncountable sticks and it is as delicious as in Capitol.

These plates and tables are so cleans, its shinning!

We order some special and freshly brew energetic fruit juice. It helps to sooth our throat after so much spicy sauces!

Wooh…yummy..

After adding more peanut the sauce becomes thicker and of course more delicious!

Here come the bill of total RM 39.50. Definitely worth it, they even gives us some sweets as refreshment!

Let me summarized some of the pros and cons!

PROS

No queuing is required.
Much more cheaper RM 0.50 per sticks.
All the tools used was so cleaned.
Super friendly staff.
Great hospitality.
Opens from noon till night.
Bright and Spacious environment.
Stick stored in a huge fridge and thus cleaner.

CONS

Lesser varieties of sticks.
Satay sauce wasn’t as thick as Capitol but still tasty.

San Shu Gong

I heard from few friends about this restaurant that their cendol were as good as Jonker 88. On that night, we were late so Jonker 88 was closed. We are thirsty for cendol so badly that we decided to go to San Shu Gong for a try.

The cendol there wasn’t really my type, its way too sweet and the black sugar lack of the fragrant that it should gave!

Nope it is not durian flavor, they are just using it to promote their durian flavor cendol!

Also the cendol come with some sort of jelly( white & green color), which quite nice to chew on! Moreover, its very expensive compared to Jonker 88!

Despite being more cooling environment and the souvenir shops above give color to my eyes, nothing better than Jonker 88! It’s more like a mini biscuit market with souvenirs selling on top of it than a beverages stalls!

Pak Putra Restoran

My all time favorite every time I step into Malacca. Super flavorsome Tandoori Chicken, just get your seat and order the chicken part you want pair it with numbers of naan available from garlic to cheese naan. For me, cheese naan is the choice just nice balance of saltiness! Mmmmph the spice aroma is just killing me even now I want to eat it again!

The melting cheese covered by thick flourish naan is so satisfying eating it with the burning red tandoori chicken! The tenderness of the chicken was remained and its taste will lingers your mouth for quite some time.

That night, the restaurant was packed with people from all over Malaysia and some foreigner as well. The staff forced to open another area to occupy more people.

Food: 9/10 (One of the best Tandoori but their drink sucks)
Price: 8/10 (Quite economical)
Cleanliness: 6/10 (Usual Mamak stall)
Ambient Environment: 5/10 ( Normal Mamak lightings and furniture)

Shopping Malls

There are 2 big shopping malls in Malacca which is Mahkota Parade & Dataran Pahlawan Malacca. Its really small compared to the ones in KL and variety is so much lesser. Those thing there I can get it easily at any malls in KL even at the small less famous one! Some snapshots!

Me scratching the parking ticket, YES its a must to buy this parking booklet (RM 5.00) where each page equal to an hour of parking. It is easily available in most shop in town.

Jonker Street

Only opens on Friday, Saturday & Sunday night with all kinds of handcraft, antiques, paintings, clothing, snacks and everything you can see in a night markets. The streets is filled with stalls, peoples and colorful lighting. Do not miss this market if you visits Malacca.

Bump into these Balinese Shop selling artistic decorative stuff. Surrounded with a very nice garden, perfect for snapshot! Somehow the lighting wasn’t good for capturing picture or maybe my skill sucks!

I bought one of these colorful earrings but I lost it!

Mini egg tarts! Been tricked by its gimmick! It taste really normal but super expensive!

Along the streets, numbers of bars available for you to seat down and have a drink on the tables alongside the streets with mixture of live music playing!

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Located in the suburb area separated from the busy city area were this UNKNOWN(No Names) Hainanese Chicken Rice Stall. Brunching at this stall on the bright sunny Saturday before I head to PC Fair.

A very small setup with few 3V tables that can accommodate 20 people.

A simple rules applies here.

Get a table and get seated.
Decide portion required based on number of person (No choosing chicken part, just eat what they served)
Bean Sprout? Yes/No!
Drinks? (Herbal Tea or Chinese Tea or Plain Water)
After 5-10 minutes, start chewing on the fleshy smooth chicken!

Chicken was as pleasantly good as seen in the photo. The meat was tight but still chewable with a very smooth texture.

Rice was well cooked, can obviously see the tiny oval shape rice clearly, totally separated from each other! I assure you this rice was extraordinary, not like the usually buttery rice but buttery with a twist of herbs! Less greasy with super flavorsome rice, perfect when eat with the chicken.

Instead of boiling in hot water, this fat and juicy bean sprout was toss in a big wok with generous amount of garlic. As crispy as potato chip but remains juicy!

With a simple setup and simple rules you get to eat something extraordinary. The meal total up at RM 19.00, totally a steal! Come and try it for yourself!

Home Made Fish Head Noodle

It was on Friday I had make an appointment with Lisa for eye brow trimming at Shu Uemura, Mid Valley. Called Catherine for a simple dinner and some chatting after trimming eye brow. Catherine is working somewhere inside Garden that is why I called her for dinner! She suggest to go to this Home Made Fish Head Noodle just located few shops besides Chili’s Grill & Bar.

The restaurant enveloped in a bright green wall with a numbers of green table with matching white chair. Upon seating down, they served us with 2 small glass of welcoming plum juice. Well no comment as I don’t love plum at all.

The soothing green environment is really pleasant for a big bowl of steaming hot Deep Fried Fish Head Mee Hoon, RM9 .50. The thick mee hoon immersed in milky sourish soup with generous amount of tomatoes, ginger slices and mustard pickles serves together with fluffy fried fish head. Not to the certain of delicious but not bad either, I’d say normal. The fish head wasn’t up to my expectation that it lack of crispiness and sea flavor!

The worst part was the drinks, I ordered Smooth Sea Coconut, RM 3.50. It is made from pre-bottled syrup with flakes of coconut. Its way too sweet and it is rather taste disgustingly!

Catherine was luckier on her drink, Lemon+Lychee+Plum, RM5.50. According to her, it was very refreshing and taste really good.

I randomly snap some pictures of us enjoying the noodles.

As conclusion, you should opt for the noodles but not the drinks (perhaps a glass of plain water) if you decided to visit this restaurant. Not too bad actually as it is consider as an economical choice with its comforting environment located inside Mid Valley.

ES Cafe Hong Kong Dim Sum

This used to be my favorite spot for my Sundays; ever since my Brother start working as a Dim Sum Trainee and he keep telling me stories on how the Dim Sum being made, I just stop going there that frequently. Well, everything will have a history right? no matter good or bad! However, this ES Cafe is definitely worth a visit! Since its quite new, its totally hassle free!!No queue, no long waiting time, lots of parking space and great environment (breathable air). Oh I guess blogger haven’t flooded this place yet! Most importantly is all their dim sum is served fresh where you get to choose them on the menu before they start to steam the dim sum! Thus, the dim sum just cook to the right texture (not overcooked) and the freshness definitely will bring you back the next time! Yes, even the fried fu chuk, fried yong tau fu or fried salad prawn are all fried on your call!

The walls is well decorated with dim sum basket and some traditional tea sets.

Before I explore into the spectacular range of Dim Sum, let me first brief you where it came from. Dim Sum or in Cantonese means touch the heart at beginning was served as a snack. During ancient time, it was served on the tea houses built along roadside where people get to rest and bump into each other just like our yumcha session! In Hong Kong, eating Dim Sum has transformed into a big, happy and enjoyable way of dining while indulging into a cup of aromatic tea over the weekend usually after a morning exercise.
Well, well I’m proudly to say I’m Cantonese and it touched my hearts even before I bite on the tiny little dim sum.

Speaking about tea, I love how they able to bring the aroma of the chrysanthemum flowers out of the tea pot and they really puts lots of chrysanthemum flowers into it! Its definitely stress released when I lightly sniff on it and take a sip of the hot yellowish tea.

Undoubtedly this bean curd skin wraps is my first dim sum on my mind whenever I have my breakfast here. The juiciness gravy which has absorbed into the bean curd will splurge out on the first bite while adding more taste to the meat wrapped inside. Chewy skin with tangy meat, just couldn’t stop chewing it!

Har Mai or Prawn Wraps contains big and succulent prawns with a touch of coriander leaves, its aroma accompanied with fresh prawn and mince meats is mouth watering!

Minced meats with carrot flakes, sweet turnip(sa kok) and Chinese mushroom flaked was stuffed into the white color rice flour roll and it is known as Wong Nga Pak Kuen or White Roll. The side ingredient stuffed inside add the crispiness which is well balanced by the smooth & soft exterior.

Char Siew Bao or Barbeque Pork Bao taste so good as the barbeque pork tends to blend so well with the sauce. Do serve it while it is still hot (I used to use my hand but since it is too hot i tend to throw from one side of my palm to another while biting it).

Succulent and super fresh prawn underneath the crystal clear skin was remarkable! The famous Har Kao or Prawn Dumpling is a must order dim sum for almost every time. This little crystal ball here never failed to triggered my appetite.

Fried Har Kuen or Fried Prawn Roll, unbelievable crispy with a dip of mayonnaise to complete it’s taste!

Chu Cheong Fun, for me this dish was a sad thing! The soya sauce taste was very dull!! The rice roll was a bit overcooked where it splits up easily! Perhaps you might consider to skip this dish.

Well, they serve a handful of dim sums, fried foodies and lots of Baoz.. Beside the freshness of the dim sums, they offered a economical pricing ranges from RM 2.00 to RM 4.00.

On that day, we spend RM 17.00 for all these foodies!! It’s definitely a steal!

La Gomera Restaurant Spain Buffet & Dining

Mum invite me to go for this Buffet when she saw the promotion on newspaper. For whole month of August there will be a 50% off the normal price of RM 59.90 each.

The restaurant were decorated with Spain’s remarkable theme the Classic Black & Red walls creates a warm and hearty environment with deem lighting, definitely a perfect place for family reunion or even friends gathering.

This is totally something new in the town. They claimed that they are the first Spain Buffet available here in Malaysia. As for me I do think there are on the top spot of distinctive buffet. I’m saying this because unlike common buffet being offered around KL & Selangor, they emphasize a lot on the well seasoning and unbelievable stew skill on different types of meats like beef, lamb and chicken.

Basically the buffet was divided into 2 main sections such as the P.I.Y (Pick it Yourself) on the arrays of food lays on the food counter.

The middle section of P.I.Y were the place where you can pick starters like the breads, jacketing potatoes and tones of salads. The lobster salad was unforgettable although there were like 10cents size of lobster in the salad mixture but the mayonnaise and milk was so mouthwatering and refreshing cold!

Jacketing potatoes was famous for it’s crispy skin but the below big stone like potatoes do not delivers its crispiness at all! Lucky the filling overcome its lame skin but still not compromising!

Sushi in the house, look very common and I don’t bother to pick one!

At the side of P.I.Y section there are long rows of main course to choose! The front row contains of mushroom & chicken with corn soups (like the common soups available everywhere), fried vegetables, fried rice, fried noodles, spanish prawns and lemon chicken (taste like Chinese style, no Spain element at all)

The rear row locates the most stunning stew meats. Some of the stew offered are Spanish Beef Meatballs in Tomato Soup and Spanish Lamb Stew.

The beef meatballs was my favorite pick; juicy, meaty and aromatic! Do not miss this pick!

The lamb stew with small cutlets soft, tender and rich in Spain spices.

At the rear corner was the desert area. Totally pull down the whole restaurant quality as you can see the cakes are all of pasar malam type! There really need to provides better choice of desert something more presentable. Shouldn’t there offered some Spain specialties?

The other half of the restaurant was where the Ala Carte section located, it is as easy as ABC; just drop your pin number into desired bowl that represents a mass variety of dishes ranging from skewer, grills meats, pizzas and pastas.

Grill German sausage, crispy exterior and chewy interior!

Grill oyster with cheese and grille scallop was a let down!

Fresh oyster was too small to realize how tasty it was!

Pizza sauce was special and distinctive from what we usually get in Italian's pizza or American’s Pizza. The taste was more mild and lots of garlic mince on top of the pizza! Too bad the crust wasn’t that crispy!

Seafood skewer was luscious, just the right seasoning and the right burning!

I personally think it will be nice to try once for the sake of the Spain characteristic in the food. The meat is a MUST try but seafood can be skip as they do not offered BIG & FRESH seafood like other buffet have. However for the 50% price its totally worth it!!

Longest Pasar Malam in Taman Connaught

Needless to say, most of you will definitely been here or at least heard about it! The all time favorite place selling numerous types of snacks, noodles, rice, drinks, fruits, vegetables, toys, pirated cds, dvds and software, clothing, lingerie, shoes and yeah almost everything at a jaw dropping prices. Just name it and you can find it here!!

Pasar Malam in Taman Connaught was claimed to be the longest Pasar Malam in Malaysia and it opens every Wednesday from 6pm to 12 a.m. See it for yourself if you still not believe it. Clock just past 6 in the evening and the highway next to the Pasar Malam has start to congested by cars queuing to enter the residential area for parking! I managed to capture the sunset while cars squeezing into the junction!

Warning: Do not try to go around 8 pm as that is the peak of the night. Once you enter the narrow path between stalls, it’s so difficult to breath or even move! I only able to move slowly, pushing here and there trying to squeeze through!

People Jam in street market or Pasar Malam

Every single corner was occupied with cars…Uncle will definitely be rich by walking one round collecting coffee tips!

For me I love the varieties of food offered here! First was the famous Rojak Fruits! Cubes of cucumber, sweet turnips (sa kok), pineapples, raw papaya and sour raw mango toss with very thick and sticky dark shrimp paste. Then the mixture was sprinkled with peanuts on top of it for that crispy feeling!

A long queue for famous rojak! Lucky they have a quick hand so I waited almost 10 minutes else it possible to go up to 30minutes!

The next delicious asam laksa was hot and gave me a massive satisfaction. It is made with flakes of mackerel fish and and its main distinguishing feature is the asam or tamarind which gives the soup a sour taste. Super spicy and sour soup base with a table spoon of shrimp paste poured on top the fat and smooth rice noodle (lai fun) was remarkable. Finally added with garnishing like pineapple flakes, mint leaves and thin slices of onions.

This square like ice cream was so classic! I love the distinctive yam flavor it gave and the milky yet subtle texture. Perfect for the hot and stuffy weather.

Finally is the Chew Chew Chow Tofu, a must for most people! Unfortunately not for me!! I hate the smell, urghh so disgusting to smell and you guys are putting it in your mouth! I totally salute you guys! However this chow tofu or fermented tofu was famous and you can see a lots of people waiting for their turn to buy it! If you are a fan then please go and buy a packet as i heard good reviews on this famous smelly tofu!!

If I were to review all the famous food here I guess it will be never ending. Hence, go try it for yourself and I assure you will not regret even if you need to spend 30 minutes to get a parking.

**Tips: Park inside Giant for RM 1 and walk a little to save time! The best time to come here will be around 6 pm, less crowded and food are fresh!

Besides food hunting, accessories hunting is great too. For example, the fake lashes, nail polishes, jewelries and lots more where the price is surprisingly low compare to the high street mall, much better with tones of design to opt for!

Two more days its Wednesday so get off work early( Leave the work for tomorrow) and head down to this famous Pasar Malam and join the fun!!

Nong & Jimmy Thai Seafood

Rain hasn’t stop since early of the day, the dull cloud, strong blowing wind and slippery floor definitely pull down my weekend mood. I actually woke up at 11 a.m where sun still shining brightly that I can’t barely open my eyes while I lay my leg on the black tar road on the way to take my breakfast at the usual Chinese stall. Then in the noon it started to rain and my mood went from hundred to zero. No..I am not gonna spoil my mood on this Sunday after all it my friend, Stephanie birthday and we had plan a dinner at Nong & Jimmy Thai Seafood. While waiting for my siew ping, SP to pick me up, I was alone at home and felt a bit sleepy; and so I lay on the bed imagining the piping hot tomyam served on a rainy day. Totally the best couple (tomyam & rain) on the week! I think you getting bored with all my nagging? Bluek..wokay lets me start my main purpose for this post!

Here I present you the smoking piping hot Claypot Seafood Tom Yam.

The Tom Yam soup base was so intense and well flavored top up with its spiciness; totally HAWT, HAWT!!! The aroma of the curry leave and the fresh seafood (prawn, cuttle fish “sotong” & fish) was seal in every spoon of Tom Yam soup I drank.

Thai Style Steam Red Talapia, I wouldn’t say this is the best steam fish I had but the Thai Sauce definitely worth a vote from me. There is a slight muddy taste on the fish belly. Fortunately, the Thai gravy saves the day! Lightly texture sour and spicy definitely open up our appetite of the day.

My all time favorite, BBQ Smoked Crab was grilled with almost without adding any flavor to it but its maintain the originality flavor and the sweetness of the crab. The crab was barbeque at top flame which brings some smoky or burnt off taste on the crab.

This part here, the claws “Kong” was Stephanie and my favorite on top of others. The first bite of the fully stuffed claws with super spongy and juiciness will left you wanting for more.

The Fried Curry Powder Crab was a let down compared to the earlier BBQ Crab. Though the curry powder add a little spice to the crab but its too sweet for a curry! Besides, the crab was not fresh too and the meat is not tangy but its rather a bit paste-like texture. Despite the poor crab quality, I’d say the curry was just moderate.

Must have Thai Style Fried Rice, is well flavored with light soya sauce and a hint of pepper. This dish never failed to satisfied for the last few time but today the prawns freshness was unacceptable though i still loves the rice texture.

This birthday celebration was meant to hunt for seafood so no cakes is provided! I guess the crab’s claws taste better than blowing the candle! Isn’t it? I will definitely say YES! So next time I want candle standing on top of a fleshy crab’s claw.

I get to know this patisserie (bakery shop) from various blogger in the net. Surprisingly, Catherine been to this shop before and we decided to have our brunch there. Its absolutely a perfect place for a weekend tea time with varieties of loaf, toast, banquette, croissant, pastry, cookies, sandwiches and super rich coffee blend!

This is my first encounter to a bungalow converted bakery shop. The cozy and warm lighting definitely a place for you to chit chat while indulge in smooth and rich coffee selection available.

Since the specialty were on stone baked breads and pastry, I don’t even bother to look at the main course (they serve few main course like pasta). It really triggered my brain to really decide which one to choose. I walk for few rounds before deciding and I even took a Blueberry Danish, RM 5.90 but I put it back as Catherine picked it too. The Bartlett Strawberry Tart, RM 4.90 replaced the danish!

Finally, we settled with the following yummy looking breads and pastry and a glass of Latte!

The big and round blueberries just taste so good. The sourish flesh accompanied by the sweetened jelly exterior over the buttery crunchy yet subtle danish was impressive.

Bright red color strawberries always added color and feeling to me! Its juicy with slightly sour over crunchy exterior that wraps coconut flakes beneath it. Coconut flakes it rather out of the ingredients group, it’s just felt so rare!

Here come my favorites Turkey Ham & Eggs, RM 3.00. I have always a big fan of eggs no matter how it is being cooked either by fried or boiled.

On top of this bread, the egg was first smashed and then scooped on top of the bread and covered with egg yolk paste over it! The turkey ham with mayonnaise sandwiched between the egg ball and the soft bread was good. The saltiness of the turkey ham just right and it is chewy!

I did not try on the refreshing Turkey ham & Cheese Ficelle Sandwich, RM 7.90, but according to Catherine, it taste very healthy!

Coffee play the main role here, without a good cup of coffee it will not be complete. We ordered Cafe Latte, RM 7.50, it blends really well between the dark roasted espresso and the pure white milk. Looking back when I travelled to Italy, it’s been sometime I get to taste such rich and smooth latte (defeated those retails coffee shops). The milk texture is what contribute to the smoothness of this latte (Latte consist 2/3 of milk). The only pull back was the glass they used to serve the Latte. It’s too classy and formal & I lost the feelings of the laid back weekends.

**Do bring your books along if you come alone as they do not provide any magazines or books.

I really love the spacious construction with high rise ceiling. It will be better if they tint the see through glass so the sunlight won’t pass through and I get to dive into the luxurious moment of enjoying a cup of latte.

If you come during the peak hour in the noon, the parking is darn full, so play safe by car pooling!

I have been a regular customer for this restaurant for the past 8 years (and my family are too). In the early days, it does not equipped with air-conditioner but now they have expand so much which they have two separated space open for dining! If you guys plan to come for dinner, it is advisable to come either before 7pm or after 8.30 pm else, you will be pissed off looking at the delicious food in front of your eyes but couldn’t eat.

They serve very authentic Hakka style Food, oh yeah have I ever told you guys I’m half Hakka! However, I don’t love most of the Hakka food for example the “chee keok choh”, Pig trotters, Braised Pork Belly with Yam and some others. Well, I found a few Hakka dishes here that I absolutely loves while dining with my family.

First up is the Deep Fried Brinjal with Snake Beans.

“In less than 3 minutes the dish was sparkling clean”

This amazing dish never failed to stimulate our appetite each time we ordered it. Unfortunately, that day the chef give us a rather smaller portion than usual. The three of us immediately shake our head and I raised my hand, “another plate of Deep Fried Brinjal with Snake Beans please” In less than 3 minutes the plate was sparkling clean. The brinjal was fried over boiling oil before it is immersed into the hot wok together the other ingredients like the long beans, chilies and dried shrimps (Har Mai). The snake beans used was unusual (compared to normal long bean), it is more crisp and and chewy. It is named snake bean because of its rough and uneven exterior texture. Usually, the snake bean was bring to boil in piping hot water for 1minutes to soften it before frying with other ingredients. The chilies add a hint of color to the dish as well as spiced up the whole dish flavor. Meanwhile the dried shrimp is so crisp and well flavored. When all these ingredients are tossed and fried together in a big wok with appropriate level of fire, it creates a dazzlement while i chewing it. It comes to circumstance where we make sure every single ingredients was on our stomach leaving the two plate sparkling clean!!

Accompanying was the Sweet and Sour Pork.

The chunks of pork was fried on boiling oil and the tossed over aromatic tomato’s based sauce with finely chopped green peppers, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and pineapples. The warm and meaty pork was so tangy and crisp. It lays a distinctive character which dictate from other was the meat pork was first being smash to loosen the meat to enhance its tanginess. The not so sweet nor not too sour just kept me forking one to another, chewing nonstop with mouthful of plain white rice. Nom nom nom……

Finally, the freshly net Red Tilapia steamed in Black Bean with Light Soya Bean Sauce. The dish is rather simple, a big freshly catch Red Tilapia, lots of gingers flakes, lots of black soy bean and a big tablespoon of Light Soya Sauce. The secret to the sweet and flaky white fish is the skill of controlling the fire level. A simple word to describe this dish, IRRESISTABLE!

They were famous for their varieties of Yong Tau Foo too! However, I did not tried this on that day so no pictures to show but believes me you wouldn’t regret ordering this!

Last Thursday, Siew Ping called to meet up at Midvalley for a simple dinner. We decided to dine in Pasta Zanmai a subsidiary of Sushi Zanmai. Striking banner, big screen view through kitchen, deemed lighting and Japanese Wooden Table. This fine dining restaurant offered variety of Japanese Pasta, Japanese Rice and huge numbers of desserts. Even on thursday around 7 pm, the seats was full. Personally I never expected they have such numbers of admirer on weekdays. While waiting for some the table, I snap a few pictures.

Individual dish portraits hanging on every corner of the wall reflects how tasty the food could be even before you witness it with your mouth. The waiter was very attentive, by the time we got seated the menu was placed on the table. I even asked reviews on a few dishes before we placed our order. I loves the reachable kitchen utensil , spices and the cheese powder.

Actually, on that day I have my pre-dinner at home (mum’s anchovies clear broth steamboat) so I ordered hot green tea and the rest I left it to Siew Ping.

I was totally amazed by this tea set, the leaves patterned pot with Japanese shape crafted cup, its totally blow my mind. Seriously, I have never seen any beautiful piece like this served in retails restaurant (normally in tea house, where they sold wide range of teas) and this Green Tea Pot cost only RM 3.00. The tea was decent and the aroma of the green leaves emerged out from the little pipe of the pot just smells so good and so relaxing.

On the other hand, Siew Ping ordered cold version of Green Tea, RM 3.00. I am quite surprise to see the tall glass containing the breezy green tea, its very extraordinary. Obviously I love this arrangement as it cuts the hassle to call for refill!

Just on the single page menu, there were these values set which they offered 2 mini dishes at once at affordable prices. I really loves this idea as my greedy mouth get to taste more food varieties. Combination of Mini Fried Prawn Sesame Sauce Pasta, Mini Roasted Ell Rice and Miso Soup, RM 22.00 was magnificent.

Intense miso soup definitely warm up my stomach. The embedded seaweed and plenty of tofu at the bottom of the soup was delicious.

The fried prawn (or Tempura Prawn) was crispy yet tacky due to the sourish sesame sauce, it’s finger licking good! However I don’t fancy the spaghetti so much, most likely because the harden interior and also the sauce wasn’t appetizing!

The roasted ell ( or so called unagi) was my favorite that night.

Everyone should know I’m a egg (any forms) lover. The half cooked golden yolk was really sweet and sticky. Yum Yum loves it so much!

The sweetened black sauce over the unagi is indescribable, let the pictures speaks for itself!

Me and Pui Mun (Munz) hang out at Sunway since its been sometime we last met each other! She tell me she had been craving for this pasta at Pasta De Gohan for so long and wanted to have it again! I’d say lets go then!

Actually I went there 2 years back but that time I’m not into blogging…So i did not even snap a picture there!

For me, the environment its way too warm and they serve boiling green tea (my body temp shoot up to boiling temperature)! I don’t really like the lighting, it’s a bit too orangey and felt too relax that i could fell asleep! The waiter was not observant as well and there have poor response! If you guys want to dine here, be sure to order cold drinks to calm your body and continues to enjoy the dining moment here!

Well lets talk about the food there. Basically they served casual pasta with a hint of fusion sense especially on the garnishing when the food is served!

First I went through the menu for like 2-3 round before I’d make a decision. The menu has too many options for me to choose! Thus it is always better to dine with bunch of friends where you get to order more dishes, then you can share the dishes among your friends! Since Munz choose the penne type, I chosen the rice type.

Munz ordered Gratin Prawn & Chicken with Penne, RM 18.80. We are surprised when it arrives, it is baked with rice NOT penne. I guess the Chef has mistakenly put the wrong wafu gratin sauce on the wrong base (rice or penne). Munz said it will be perfect if matched with penne. The gratin and cheese texture was light and its totally different compare to traditional pasta. Traditional pasta cheese (without gratin) texture is bit thick and its more more sticky. However, this dish here has a smooth, milky and creamy texture which smoothen the throats when is flow through. The prawns is so tangy and its not too salty, just at the right flavor. The chicken cubes, I must say its marinates to perfection. By the time I bite on it, I can actually taste a few layer of different taste (the coated cheese on the outer layer while the seasoning was fused inside the juicy chicken meat, the chemistry did really reacts here) When the prawn and chicken was grilled beneath the creamy cheese and layered by the Ovalish Japanese rice, the moment I scoop it and put it in my mouth it’s just phenomenal!

I ordered a jaw dropping dish Doria Bacon, Asparagus & York, RM 18.80! Let the picture speaks for itself! Its express dozens of flavor when I first look at its exquisite garnishing (It gave me a thought of the standing with arm wide open on top of the hill where sunrise is on the spot).

As I mentioned above, the penne and the rice had swap! So this dish was served with penne. What captured my attention most was the golden egg yolk! The moment the sticky paste like egg yolk burst in my mouth, its just blows my mind off! The sweetening texture is just so tendering.

Meanwhile the bacon was first pan fried to give a crispy, smokey and chewy feeling and its just slightly covered with milky cheese layer. The penne was boiled in the water at the right temperature that gives the tangy bites and balanced by the milky cheese cream immersed with the crispy smoked bacon! Unfortunately, they miss out the asparagus! The asparagus was dried and hard to chew! Perhaps the chef put it on for the sake of garnishing only! But I am silly enough to have eaten all of it just because I am a vege lover!

Looking at the picture, actually they serve relatively small portion compared to other pasta in town but BEWARE! This little plates can filled up even an empty stomach and it’s just appropriate amount to satisfy my big tummy! Don’t ever think to order more than one main course for each person, otherwise you definitely will feel jammed up with piles of cheesy creams!

Pangkor Fish Head Curry

Don’t be fool by the its name, its not located in Pangkor in fact is in Taman Megah PJ.

It is located just opposite of Fatty Crab. When arrive there we saw a lot of people waiting for food and some queuing for their table to be seated. Me and Darling reach there first and we straight went to the 1st floor where there were few families waiting for the door to open. When the door open we rush in to get a table and start looking at the menu. Meanwhile another 3 of my friends is still on the way.

When they arrived, we started to order food and drinks. I would say the environment here is very noisy (a lot of people) and the table are quite old. We waited for almost an hour before the food arrived.

The first to come is the Clam (La-La) with Soup, RM 23.00. I like the giant size of the clam and the flesh is very tangy and fresh. The soup is very pleasant where the clam substance has seep into the soup. It was definitely a hit!!Beware, the soup must be serve while its hot or else the soup will have the fishy taste.

Second is the Butter Slipper Lobster (Baby Lobster), RM 6.00 per gram and our portion is 450 gram so it will be RM 27.00. I would say the butter and egg flakes is not crispy enough and the butter did not fused together with the Lobster. However, the lobster is fresh and the flesh is very sweet (felt like just captured from the sea).

Then come the Stir Fried Choy Tam with Garlic, RM 13.00. I think its rather expensive for this dish as the portion was not big. The Choy Tam is not so fresh and is a bit over cooked.

Finally, the 2 types of crabs was served! We love the Salted Egg Crab, RM 45.00 over the Hot & Spicy Crab, RM 42.00.

The first crab was just okay because the salted egg was not as good as it should be! Its way too wet for my liking! Most important is the crab mean doesn’t taste like its cooked with salted egg!

Meanwhile the later one is quite gravy which is just nice for dipping. The bun is crispy with soft texture! Taste good when it pairs with the hot and spicy gravy! I do not like this crab so much because the taste of the gravy was not strong enough! But actually I am not a fan of Spicy mood! Yeah most of my friends say I am not Malaysian (M’sian loves Chili)!

Bermuda & Onion Restaurant

I don’t have any idea why they name the restaurant that way. Me and Siew Ping went here to celebrate my success in getting new job that I’ve long wished for! So I made it finally after suffering so much in my previous company. Let’s not talk bout the sad thing and hop to the food instead. In fact, this was our last options since the other restaurant’s kitchen are closed or their menus does not met our expectation (for full story check it out at Golden Holidays ).

The cozy and affable environment has impressed us to finally sat down and glance through the menu. The menu was rather simple, it wasn’t fascinating at all looking through it. It looks absolutely like those classic menu in those vintage western restaurant without any pictures to elaborates the menus!

So it was rather quick that I ordered the Braised Lamb Shank, RM 46.00.

The lamb was well cooked and the flaky meat is just so tender to chew on. It is actually very soft but at the same time very chewy. The flavorsome braised sauce with slices of button mushroom enhance the juiciness of the lamb. A cut of the lamb and a sip of the Chateau Peyruchet Bordeaux Blanc Red Wine, France, RM 29.00 definitely leaves you totally fell in love!

Ahh…Another bite, I’ll marry you MR LAMB! The accompanying mash potato was just moderate, perhaps they should smash harder to crush the tiny little potatoes cubes. In fact the portion is way too big which I really try so hard to finally stuffed it all into my stomach (lucky it’s delicious).

In fact I am not a fan of wines! I prefer beer, you guys must have say I’m idiot! Wines is the best friends of western food!! However, I find this wine is acceptable to me, its not so heavy to gulp through!

On the other side, she ordered Grilled Black Cod, RM 52.00. Every single flake of the black cod was so nourishing comes with a very sweet sea fresh aroma. On the other side of the dish, The accompanying gravy was thin so that it remains the freshness taste of the black cod. it was the deep fried seasoned spring onion! Seriously, i never eat the spring onion once or at least not even by mistake! However, this method of overdone the spring onion actually impressed me for the first time. She matched the white meat with white wine, Pinot Gricio, RM 26.00. It’s rather sourish to my liking! It’s a lean wine that is light in color with sometimes spritzy flavors that can be crisp and acidic.

Well the night end with the end of Japan and Uruguay World Cup football match. We really have a good time dining here and we love the portraits they hang on the wall. It reminds me of Paris deeply!

Your are about to discover the irresistible food in Tanjung Langsat, Johor, Malaysia

I travelled to Johor (to be specific Tanjung Langsat) every week at least once a week. In the beginning, i really felt there’s nothing to much to do there. After all my main purpose is to do complete my work there (inspection, testing, monitoring the project and etc).

Later on, i start to become close with colleague in the factory and we enjoy searching some nice food in Tanjung Langsat. I discover this noodle so called “mee bandung udang” . This stall was located inside the Kampung Tanjung Langsat (really hidden inside the villages). I guess outsider will never knew the existence of this stall if there were no one introducing it.

This noodles is almost same like our Chinese “har mee” but the soup is not clear type, its feel with fresh prawn paste (pasty feeling). Actually what makes the noodle so tasty is the fresh big prawn and the pasty soup base. You can really taste the prawn sip into the soup base. This delicious noodle is priced at RM 6 per bowl.

Besides we also ordered black pepper crab. The taste is just normal nothing so special…Frankly speaking I'd prefer the ordinary Chinese style black pepper crab than this dish…

Extra reminder: Do not go there with empty stomach. You must wonder why I’d say so…Haha its because they cook every dishes separately even is the same type. Let’s say you ordered 6 bowl of mee udang bandung, they will cook one by one and not cook all at once…My top record of waiting is 1 hour even the place has no other people only us…Thus, i always book in advance to avoid wasting time to wait for the food.

9) Pattaya: Beaches, Sand, Bikini, Seafood…..

I almost lost my memories in Pattaya…Don’t really remember whether I went snorkeling. To get to the sea we have to hire a speed boat to bring us to the island. Eventually I prefer Redang over Pattaya in terms of the clarity of the sea water. However, I love the market in Pattaya where a huge crowds of tourist hanging by. Moreover, a few seafood stall is available for dine in and it is not expensive. Yummy!!

10) Pattaya: Cultural & Elephant Show

Like the usual cultural show, to me it’s just kinda lame or BORED. On the other side of the stage there were these cute elephant dancing, kicking football and shaking left and right. I am AMAZED!

11) Pattaya: Nong Nooch Tropical Garden Village

A very huge Tropical Garden, one of the tourist attraction in Pattaya that features botanical garden, zoo and Thai Cultural Center with impressive shows. Located at Chonburi, just take Sukhumvit Road, turn left at Km. 163. There is also a half-day tour leave from Pattaya every day.

This is a great spot for photo taking. Souvenirs and handicrafts can be purchased at the Garden’s shopping mall.

Well this end the trip to Pattaya and back to Bangkok for more SHoppinG!!!

6) Temple Visit Day: Buddha Erawan Shrine

Located at the Rajprasong intersection, next to Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel, the Buddha Erawan Shrine also known as the Four Faced Buddha, a very popular spot for local and also tourist from all over the world. The Four Faced Buddha or Phra Phrom Statue of which represents the Hindu Creation God Brahma. There were dance performance by locals hired by worshipper as return for seeing their prayers at the shrine answered.

7) Temple Visit Day: Wat Arun

Across the Chao Phraya River, located the Temple of Dawn or known as Wat Arun. It is believed that after fighting his way out of Ayutthaya, which was besigned by a Burmese army at the time, King Taksin arrived at this temple just as dawn was breaking. I was amazed by the brilliant craftsmanship of the temple, every single details is so attractive. Alongside the path there are many stalls renting the traditional costume for photography. Hell yeah I will definitely not miss out!!

8) Temple Visit Day: Wat Indravihan

Inside of Wat Indravihan was the 32 meters height Buddha standing proudly under a golden umbrella. Built in a modern style during the reign of King Rama IV, the topknot of the Buddha image contains a relic of the Lord Buddha brought from Sri Lanka.

After that, on our way to Pattaya we stop by the Sri Cha Zoo for some animal show (crocodile show). Nothing so interesting…Then after that we check in to Mike Beach Hotel. A very simple and normal room…

3) Gone Crazy Shopping in Chatuchak

Early morning after breakfast, we call a cab from Hotel and head to CHATUCHAK, the famous fashion market of all time in Bangkok.

I felt like i’m shopping in heaven…unlimited choices of tops, bottoms, accessories, bags, households, flowers, porcelain; everything I would say…I don’t even have time to snap photos…It’s so huge that you will not able to stop by every stall in one day…I even skip looking at household since it’s very difficult to carry it back to KL. On the other hand the fashion stuff there are quite cheap but quality wise is not so good and mostly are free size. Price can be as low as 50 Bath…

4) Shopping Continues at Platinum Mall & Panthip Plaza

The stuff here is almost similar to those in Chatuchak but was presented in a more attractive way. BUT I wasn’t hunting for clothing instead I hunt for FOODDD…Most of the food here is from Food Court of the Platinum Mall

5) Sky View Supper at Baiyoke Sky Hotel

After shower we decided to walk around, and we found this Baiyoke Sky Hotel and thinking to dine in here while enjoying the view. Superb view come along with great food was really enjoying. Also the price is very affordable for the environment and service. The total bill comes up to 1000Bath.

Fresh Honey Dew juice served in creatively cut honeydew.

Spaghetti Alfreddo was delightful….

Look at the omelet covering the Pad Thai, I don’t need to express further.

The steak was quite plain though. It could taste better if they add in a scoop of mash potatoes.

Finally after a Year, I decided to post my last trip to Thailand on 2010 CNY…

Well Thanks to Air Asia for making traveling so affordable… I book my ticket approximately 9 months ahead and just 2 months before departure I plan my iternary, read hundreds pages of traveler’s advise and comment and book day trips as well as hotels..

First I booked my Bangkok & Pattaya 4D3N with Cempaka Travel Bug as I want to save time travelling between Pattaya and Temples around Bangkok. Next I booked a day trip to Ayutthaya with Mama Tour as recommended by some of the traveler. We reach Bangkok at approximately 11pm, we check in to Citin Hotel, Pratunam and then went down to the stall nearby our Hotel. The Hotel is still new and thus the area is quite clean and the room is well maintained. The location of the hotel is very convenience too, as the Pratunam Market just few minutes walk away…. Besides we can also walk around 15minutes to MBK

1) AYUTTHAYA THE HISTORICAL CITY

I must say the weather in Ayutthaya is HaWttttt; mostly due to the high temperature and also the dry and sandy environment that I can’t barely see a tree… It become worst when the bus that bring us from one monument to another is a non-air conditioned type!!! We actually buy a few bottles of mineral water every time we stop by. Lucky it’s not that costly, 10 bath each bottle.

Basically the Mama Tour is not bad, I couldn’t expect more because the package they offer was quite cheap. It cost a total of RM 90 each for a day trip in Ayutthaya that includes visits to Wat Phukhao Thong. Wat Thammikarat, Wat Lokayasutha and Wat Phra Mahathat. They provide a free lunch during the trip as well, so called can eat type of meal!

Ayutthaya was declared as a World heritage site by UNESCO. Undoubtedly behind each places in Ayutthaya has its own stories…

The driver pick us up at 8am in our hotel and bring us to a meet up point near their office in Bangkok. Then we were transfer to another mini bus and start our journey to Ayutthaya.

The first stop was at Wat Phu Khao Thong (Golden Mount), a huge fade off white chedi set in a field overseeing the countryside surrounding Ayutthaya.

Location: About 3 km north of town, west off the Ang Thong Rd

Next we head to Wat Thammikarat, leaning tall brick column at great angle surrounding the large roofless viharn. It was founded by Phraya Thammikarat, a son of King Sainam Phung before the Ayutthaya period.

The next spot was my favorite because we get to drink sweet aromatic Thai Roast Coconut under a Huge Tree. Its nearby Wat Lokkyasutharam. Besides the Famous reclining Gold Buddha in Wat Pho there is another Giant Reclining Buddha located in Wat Lokkyasutharam, Ayutthaya Thailand. Since I cannot withstand the direct sunlight, I bought a oversize hat, using my bargaining tactic it just cost me 60 Bath. Usually the reclining Buddha covered with a saffron colored robe, but on my arrival the robe wasn’t there anymore.

The last spot we visited was the Wat Mahathat, a huge space to look around and admire all the architecture details. There are quite a numbers of Buddha statue whereby the head was chopped off. For more historical stories behind these places please visit this website.

Well we ended up with sweat and fishy smell after visiting all these monuments…The journey back was tiring and I fall asleep in the bus…

2) The walk to Central City of Bangkok, SIAM PARAGON & MBK

We reach the meet up point around 5pm and our passion for shopping has never stop and so without bothering all the tiredness we took a tuk tuk to Siam Paragon. At first was thinking to get a cab but the road was so busy and traffic is bad. The rider is so efficient he able to get us there in less than 20 minutes by going through all the short cuts between building and houses! Thumbs Ups!!!

While walking inside Siam Paragon, we got hungry so we stop at this Japanese Burger Restaurant, MOS. Well I order a pork burger with satay sauce…

We walk to MBK and grab quite a number of stuff while shopping there especially my brother.

YES our tummy need more food and thus we’re dining in the Oishi Shabu Shabu Buffet. We queue for about 30 minutes before we can actually start eating.

The food was decent, not to say very good but it’s has the best varieties of sushi and also fish balls and seafood to choose from.

Well the day 1 has ended and time to head back to hotel…My feet felt sore already even it’s just first day…

Day 3: WaterLoo, Wellington Musuem

Waterloo has always been a strategic place because of its location: at the edge of the Soignes Forest, at the gates of Brussels. In the centre of the village you can find the Wellington Museum, a former 18th century coaching inn (listed building) which served as Headquarter for the Duke of Wellington.

Also managed to snap a pic with this Napoleon Memorial Statue. Nth much over here so we jus spent bout half an hour before we head to next destination.....Few fact bout this Waterloo is it has become one of the world's most famous battlefield after Napoleon was defeated here on 18 June 1815, by the combined Anglo-Dutch troops under the command of the Duke of Wellington, and the Prussian army under Marshal Blücher. This place is one of Belgium's main tourist attractions, with hundreds of thousands visitors coming each year to look over the plains from the Lion of Waterloo.

I manage to take few shots here....when i were it was autumn so the autumn feeling is nice for photosnapping...It dun nd nice post jus nd to stand the pic will come out looking awesome!!

Day 1: Belgium + Brussel

Belgium offers a number of interesting places to visit for it history, terrific food and good quality museums. Did we mention chocolate? See my chocolate fountain picture below! The biggest chocolate fountain i saw in my life! While Belgium's tourist destinations are not the "best of the best", they are satisfying and worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

Some of the places i went when I'm in Belgium was Catheral of Saints Mitchel & Gudule (3pic on top). This magnificent cathedral, tactfully dedicated to the male and female patron saints of Brussels, is located near Central Station. Besides also went to the Royal Palace, the official home of the Belgian king. You will always know if he is in the country when you see the Belgian flag flying on top of the building. Also visited the Atomium, Grand Palace, The Town Hall and .

I still remember my first day of Europe trip start at this spot...

Can see how tired my face look in this picture because i have sit the coach for 4hours + on the ferry for 1hour++(1st picture from left taken in the ferry), then another 1hour++ to reach this destination.....The minute we reach, the tour guide (Mary) tell us "you have 15 minutes to look around & snap pictures then return to the coach on time"we were like wtf 15 minutes???? It wasn't;t good for being so rush in a trip...But we jus follow & take as many shots as possible..

The funny thing is on our first day we rarely know other people on the same trip so its hard to get sm1 to snap our picture!!So we saw one people from China, so decided to ask her to help us take some pictures but the picture shot only can see half of the body only...that is why i only show the picture of the molecular structure without me inside...hahaha

Frankly speaking this place do not has anything special...maybe few good spot for photo snapping? but Atomium is one of the must-sees in Brussels. This project was made for the the international exposition in 1958, Expo 58. The Atomium is open daily from 10 AM until 6 PM, the entrance fee is 9 euros for an adult

The next day we went to the Grand Place. It’s a big square with beautiful old buildings on each side. One of them is Town Hall, which was built in Gothic style. At this square everybody meets, it’s like a city center. Here is where there is a big Christmas market, fireworks at New year’s Eve... Many different kind of thing sell in this area..

Then we walk down to the market (Bruges) where the Belgian chocolates is everywhere...and of course other stuff (food mostly) desserts like waffle, candies, bread n etc! There the choc fountain, too bad I but din get to try it cause its only for display...

Next we went to another highlight in Brussels which is Manneken Pis, their most famous little statue. It’s a little boy peeing in a fountain, located on the corner of Rue de L’Etuve & Stroofstraat since 1619. I tell you, you really need to squeeze in to get a spot to snap picture wit this statue...

Erm...actually it had been ages i know bout blogging jus that im not that into it...now that the feels of blogging start to come....So i think its perfect time to write down everything that goes on in my life now...

I think i'll start my blog wif my europe trip last year....Hope i can manage to come out wit at least a moderate rating post ya!!!
